Jet Lagged

I don't know which way is up or down or where I'm going or coming from. The last two weeks have been a rollercoaster. A last minute decision to go out west and crash the bf's parents week long holiday was a wonderful climax to all the highs and lows this year has seen so far. Being five years old, the last time I was out west, the experiences I had almost twenty four years later are ones I will not soon forget. The beauty of the Rockies and the west coast is awe inspiring and striking.

Flying from Vancouver to Toronto one day and then getting on a plane again the next to go from Toronto to Halifax for work was a bit much. Three different time zones in twenty four hours is not good for even an experienced traveler. I am so glad to be sleeping in my own bed tonight.

Just a bit of knitting was accomplished in the last two weeks. I had to cast on and frog the newest project on the needles only half a dozen times. Why you night ask?
Well for starters....
Between not understanding and having to learn what "yarn over" meant.
Being told I "throw the yarn" when I knit (I prefer to call it the Canadian way of knitting.)
Having stitches fall off the needles in transit on planes and cars.
Discovering the written pattern was completely different from the diagram pattern and having to decide which one to go by.
As well as multiplying the number of cast on stitches by three to turn the pattern from a scarf into a wrap.
... I was very close to giving the entire project up, until I got to spend one night in my hotel room, just me, my needles, the pattern and the wool and actually focus on what I was doing for an hour and voila. No more problems. (So far that is as it's not even one eight or one twelfth of the way to being completed)

Photos of the trip and more details of the newest project will be forthcoming.

Heavens, even reading that makes me tired! I've just started a Print O' the Wave stole and it might end up kicking my booty. I hope not though! I hope you post some pictures of your project.
Have a great night! :)
