background info- this quiz is based on the triliogy "His Dark Materials" written by author Philip Pullman. I have yet to read the books but have heard rave reviews for them and just wanted to play along. I am such a joiner.
PLUS- a movie based on the first book, titled The Golden Compass will be in theatres sometime this December. So you have lots of time to become acquainted with the hoopla
