-first pair of socks, thus followed by 2nd, 3rd and 4th pair
-dropped stitches, of the "i meant to do that, it says so in the pattern" kind
-yarn overs, where holes in the rows make pretty garments
-cables, easy-peasy darlin'-whatever was the fuss?
-crochet, which opened up a whole new slew of patterns and possibilities
